Welcome to PicDetector (picdetector.com), an online tool that estimates whether an image is likely to be AI-generated (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Use of the Service

PicDetector lets you upload images and receive an automated analysis of whether they may have been created or altered by AI. You agree to use the Service in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and these Terms.

Detection Results Disclaimer

• Detection results are probabilistic estimates produced by automated models. They may be inaccurate, including false positives (a real image flagged as AI-generated) and false negatives (an AI-generated image not detected).
• Results should not be treated as conclusive proof of how an image was created, and should not be the sole basis for legal, academic, employment, journalistic, disciplinary, or other important decisions.
• You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use any result.

User Accounts

1. Account Creation: Some features require an account. You must provide accurate and complete information.

2. Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Notification: Please notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Your Content

• You keep all ownership rights to the images you upload ("Your Content").
• You grant PicDetector a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
• You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content and that it does not violate any law or the rights of others, including copyright, privacy, and publicity rights.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes the rights of others
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person, or to make false public accusations based on detection results
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the Service beyond the limits of your plan or any API we provide
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or extract our detection models or build a competing product from the Service's outputs
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or performance of the Service
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, credits, or security features

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, models, design, logos, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by PicDetector and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Plans, Credits, and Payments

• Some features require a paid plan or credits. Prices are shown on our Pricing page and may change with notice.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. You agree to pay all charges associated with your purchase.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Unused credits may expire as described at the time of purchase.
• Except where required by law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase, all payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected].

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information, including uploaded images.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or your use harms other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PicDetector shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or reputation, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service or reliance on any detection result. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PicDetector and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PicDetector operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through the competent courts or binding arbitration as permitted by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
